Educational
What brought you to this page, you big nerd?
I've collected on this page a bunch of educational links that don't fit into the other categories on this website. You know, if you're into that kind of nerd stuff.
General
- Kiwix: Offline reader for Wikipedia and other wikimedia and knowledge projects like Project Gutenberg, TED talks, etc. This means, yes, you can download Wikipedia for use offline. The original use case is in places of the world where there is no internet connection or access to open source knowledge may be blocked but in my experience it's also useful if you're going to be in a situation without internet for a while like cruise ships, etc. More on Kiwix can be found on my archiving page.
- Cheap and easy ways to stock your emergency go bag (Archived Link): an article from NPR on how to stock a go-bag when you're limited on time or money. Also, you should have a go-bag for emergencies.
Mathematics
- CalculusMadeEasy.Org: Rather self-explanatory. Based off of a book originally published in 1910.
- Paul's Online Notes: a collection of math notes by Professor Paul Dawkins at Lamar University. Fun fact: these are how I passed calculus in college.
